Every February the International Show Car Association hosts the Meguiar's Autorama Car Show presented by O’Reily Auto Parts in Detroit, Michigan.

This year, Kenny Frederic Jr., of Donaldsonville Glass and Body entered his 1957 Chevy 210 Sedan, named "Assassin," in the contest for the first time ever. After five years in the works, his hard work paid off because he was selected as a Pirelli Great Eight Ridler award finalist.

“All of the work on the car was performed by Donaldsonville Glass and Body,” said Frederic Jr. “This car shows the type of quality work we provide for our customers.”

Frederic Jr. purchased the car in 2003 and did a complete frame - up custom rebuild.  The 1957 Chevy 210 Sedan has a GMPP Ram Jet 502 engine, Art Morrison chassis and a Tremec TKO 600 transmission. Paul Atkins Interiors and Eric Brockmeyer design finished the interior of the car.

Frederic Jr., says he plans to enter many more contests around the country beginning in August.

Other winners of this award were: Mike Lethert’s ’39 Ford, Tim Gunzalus’ 1937 Chevy Roadster, Bruce Milyard’s ’62 Corvette, Kenneth Tallent’s ’40 Ford, Jim Marciniak’s ’63 Buick Riveria, and Derrick Samson’s ’51 Chevy Business Coupe.

The International Show Car Association (ISCA) is made up of three different groups of people (all of whom love cars, especially rods and customs): Exhibitors, who show their vehicles and compete at ISCA-sanctioned indoor events; Judges, who judge the vehicles and determine where a vehicle places in its respective class; and Producer Members, who produce the indoor custom car shows.
