The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) is urging everyone to prepare for more rain and possible severe weather which could impact the state Monday.  The National Weather Service (NWS) indicates much of Louisiana is under a marginal to slight risk of severe weather.  One to three inches of rain is possible in many areas as well.

Locally heavy rainfall could lead to ponding of water in low lying areas and areas of poor drainage.

“Be aware of your local forecast as we face more rain and possible dangerous conditions,” said GOHSEP Director Jim Waskom.  “Much of Louisiana has already been impacted by several days of rainfall.  Get a game plan now if you have to travel or work outdoors.  Stay aware of the changing conditions.  Download the ALERT FM App and GOHSEP’s recently updated Get A Game Plan App to receive weather notices and to learn more about keeping you, your family and your business safe.”
