The Restore Louisiana Task Force has announced a new website, restore.la.gov, dedicated solely to providing information on recovery from the devastating floods in March and August.
The site serves as a single location where residents and news media can access recovery-related documents and notifications, as well as the latest developments within each of the task force’s six work groups.
To stay up-to-date on the latest recovery news, residents can register through the site for email updates. The task force will also post updated information on its new Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“We encourage everyone affected by the floods to sign up for email updates,” says Julie Baxter Payer, deputy chief of staff for Gov. John Bel Edwards. “The recovery effort is wide-ranging in both its scope of work and geography, and it will be ongoing for years. This website will play a crucial role in how residents stay informed.”
