In an effort to recruit new members to the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association (LRTA), District IV will be having a membership recruitment social on Tuesday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Galatoire's Bistro, 3535 Perkins Rd. in Baton Rouge.

There will be no meeting, just an informal manner of learning about LRTA and how we serve our retired teachers and school personnel. More than 300 invitations were mailed to new retirees in 2016 and 2017.

The Louisiana Retired Teachers Association is a non-profit membership organization with more than 23,000 members that serves as the voice of the retired education community and represents interests of its members by monitoring, protecting and improving the benefits needed to secure dignity, independence, and overall quality of life.
