The Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters offices will be taking part in the annual statewide Voter Education Week activities scheduled for September 24 through September 28, 2018.

Voters are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity! Voters can not only register to vote, they may change their party affiliation, make address changes, name changes, transfer their voter registration to Ascension Parish or even register for another parish!

October 9 is the last day to register for the Nov. 6 election, which includes races for Congress, Secretary of State, Parish Court Judge and the following:

Member of School Board District 2 (1 to be elected)

Member of School Board District 4, Seat B (1 to be elected)

Member of School Board District 5, Seat A (1 to be elected)

Member of School Board District 6, Seat A (1 to be elected)

CA NO. 1 (ACT 719 - SB 31) - Prohibit felon from public office

CA NO. 2 (ACT 722 - SB 243) - Unanimous jury for noncapital felonies

CA NO. 3 (ACT 717 - SB 263) - Permit donations from political subdivisions

CA NO. 4 (ACT 720 - SB 59) - Transportation Trust Fund

CA NO. 5 (ACT 721 - SB 163) - Extend eligibility for tax exemptions

CA NO. 6 (ACT 718 - SB 164) - Reappraisal of residential property

The Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters offices are located at 828 S Irma Blvd Room 205 in Gonzales, La. and 300 Houmas Street Suite B in Donaldsonville, La.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
