Before moving back to her hometown of Baton Rouge, Dixon worked as an educator in Atlanta, Georgia.
“I am looking forward to building quality relationships with the Donaldsonville Community,” stated Dixon.
“It is necessary for all concerned parties, those that are compassionate about the future of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, and our nation, to rally behind and support our team of educators as we raise the bar on student achievement. The ultimate student achievement comes when all stakeholders (parents, community, students, teachers, principal, etc.) believe and speak the same thing – ‘high expectations, for every child’.  Failure is not an option and average is not good enough,” she said.
Dixon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1995 from Oral Roberts University. In 1999, she earned a master’s degree in administration and supervision from Southern University.
