The contractor has completed mobilization of all major equipment and personnel to site.  They will continue to assemble and transfer equipment in different access points along the Bayou.  All pre-dredge hydrographic and upland survey work of the Bayou and its banks has been collected is being been processed. Pre-dredge quantities have been approved for Reaches 1, 2, and 3.  Excavators have sensors and equipment (Dredge Pack Technology) installed showing the operator exactly where construction and dredging limits are.  They began to dredge Bayou in Reach 1 starting at Sta. 22+50.  GPS unit was not working properly so they had to stop work and begin to troubleshoot.  They will continue personal notification of upcoming construction activities by hand delivering to residents along the Bayou.

They have begun to hold face-to-face meetings with property owners along the Bayou with structures scheduled for demolition or relocation. Complete stump removal and grubbing operations in Reach 1.  They also began stump removal and grubbing operations in Reach 2.  Seven loads of trees/brush/stumps were hauled offsite and 12 stumps were grinded in place.  Traffic control is being maintained within construction limits in the Bayou, on haul routes, and at Contractor access points to the Bayou. Erosion control and ditch maintenance continues at the sediment disposal site.

Work planned for next week will be to complete processing of all pre-dredge hydrographic and upland survey data.  Continue stump removal and grubbing operations in the Bayou. Continue dredging in Reach 1.  Begin dredging in Reach 2.
