Early voting for the Nov. 8 Presidential Election will continue through Tuesday, Nov. 1. The hours of early voting are from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters must bring photo identification.
Voters are encouraged to use GeauxVote.com for a sample ballot. The use of the website can expedite the voting process. There is also an ap that can be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet.
The Ascension Registrar of Voters Office also asks that voters verify that they are registered to vote before heading to the polls. The last day to register was Oct. 11. Voter registration can be verified by calling the Registrar's office or online at GeauxVote.com.
On the ballot this election is the incumbent Mayor Leroy Sullivan, who is in his third term as mayor, and Shannon Comery, a local church pastor.

- Implemented a Back-to-school Refresher Program to prepare our children for the school years and re-initiated the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council.
-Completed and delivered sewage pump stations and a natural gas pipeline replacement and is currently in the process of a sewage system rehabilitation totaling to $7.1 million.
-In the process of implementing a joint cooperative venture with Bayou LaFourche Fresh Water District to eliminate the St. Patrick Underpass flooding and other flood areas within the City.
