Changing America, one youth at a time was the focus of the message given by Louisiana National Guard recruiter, Rachel Cormier, as she addressed the Donaldsonville Rotary Club at their weekly meeting.

The Youth Challenge Program is an alternative educational program which offers 16-year-olds an opportunity to change their future. Students looking for a way to succeed outside of the everyday school setting learn leadership, responsibility and self-discipline while working to achieve a high school equivalency diploma.

The Donaldsonville Rotary Club hosts its meetings on Thursday at noon at Cafe Lafourche, 817 Veterans Blvd., Donaldsonville.
