Crews are currently at work on set production in historic D'ville for another movie. The film, "The Highwaymen," will be released on Netflix later this year.

The film is based on true events and tells the story of Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and ex-partner Maney Gault, who are drawn out of retirement to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde.

The film by Casey Silver Productions comes from director John Lee Hancock, who directed "The Blind Side," "Saving Mr. Banks," and "The Founder." The cast includes Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson, and Academy Award Winner Kathy Bates. John Carroll Lynch of "American Horror Story," Kim Dickens of "Gone Girl," Thomas Mann of "Skull Island," and William Sadler of "The Shawshank Redemption" are among the other big name actors in the film.

The screenplay was written by John Fusco, Academy Award nominee Scott Frank, and John Lee Hancock. Michael Malone, Kevin Costner, Rod Lake, and Woody Harrelson are executive producers.

The Netflix original film is slated for release in 2018.
