Rotary News

The Donaldsonville Rotary Club was visited by District Governor Gary Lacombe of the Rotary District 6200. The Governor highlighted the great things about our “Service Above Self’ motto.

We are forever changed when we are able to help others by creating lasting change or improvement for those we service.

The vision that Rotary International has adopted is: “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves.” Lacombe suggested to fellow Rotarians to have fun and be the inspiration that will create a lasting change. Additionally, Rotarian C. J. Bellina was recognized for receiving his Paul Harris Fellowship award.

Emmanuel Baptist Church

Emmanuel Baptist Church celebrated their annual Men Day program with Rev. Cleveland Washington as the guest speaker. The men wore camouflage t-shirts to coincide with their term “Spiritual Warfare.”

Rev. Washington's message of playing the part of a man in life, church, and family was well received by those in attendance.
