Cayette has a 4.4 grade point average and is involved in several extracurricular activities around the parish has many accolades, but she said she’s never been queen before.

“I was happy because I had never been named queen of anything,” Cayette said. “I ran for homecoming queen and didn’t make top three so to be ddebutante queen I was pretty happy and excited I got to wear a crown.”

Cayette said balancing her schedule and remaining successful in the classroom gets hard at times.

This summer Cayette plans to work as a pharmacy technician after completing the certification class she’s enrolled in at East Ascension High.

“I to work is pharmacy to see how it is because in the fall I’ll be enrolled at Xavier University for pre-pharmacy,” Cayette said.

Cayette added, “I want to thank my grandmother for always pushing me because she makes me do a lot of the stuff that I do.”
