DHS to host meet and greet

Staff Report

Donaldsonville High School will host a meet and greet Aug. 4 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Businesses are asked to introduce themselves and show some of thier products that are available to be purchased by the staff.

Donaldsonville High School is a very intricate part of the Donaldsonville community.

The school serves the majority of local students from the community in our school. The faculty and staff include over 100 individuals, along with our other elementary schools, making Ascension Parish School System one of the largest employers in the city of Donaldsonville.

"We are proud to be a part of this community and thank those of you who continue to support us," associate principal Marilyn Washington said. "Many or most of our staff do not reside in Donaldsonville. Many come from other parishes as well as from the east side to work here. On many occasions they eat and shop in our community. This enhances the local economy and strengthens our community."

Businesses are asked to be set up by 5:00 p.m. The school will be opened all day.

"This is a great opportunity to build relationships as well as enhance your sales," Washingston said.

Space is limited so arrange yours as soon as possible.

For more information please call the school (225-474-2730) and speak to Ms. Washington or e-mail washington@apsb.org.
