Francis seeks re-election to City Council District 3

"I, Reginald L. Francis Sr., would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for re-election as Councilman of District #3 for the City of Donaldsonville," incumbent City Councilman Reginald Francis said.

"I am a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville. My family roots are deeply embedded in this beautiful historic city."

Francis is an active member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church where he is a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Pastoral Council and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council #37.

Francis has been married to Linda Levy Francis for 35 years and they have three wonderful children, Reginald Jr., Tiffany Francis-Linton and Lindsay Francis-Harris. They also have four beautiful grandchildren, DeAndre', Blaise, Ariane and Bryce.

Francis has worked as a brick mason, a fireman for the City of Donaldsonville and an operator at Allied Chemicals (PCS Nitrogen). He is currently employed with Terra Industries (formerly Mississippi Chemicals) in Donaldsonville for the past 32 years.

"I am presently serving as your councilman for District #3," Francis said. "I ran unopposed in the Oct. 20, 2007 Election to finish out the remainder of an unexpired term. I believe that my time on the City Council has equipped me with the experience I need to represent District #3.

"As your Councilman, I am willing to accept the challenges and work together as a team with the Mayor and my fellow Council Members. I can assure you that I will perform honestly and act with the utmost integrity. I will do all that is necessary to help District 3 and the entire City of Donaldsonville to grow and prosper in ways that are beneficial to all of its citizens.

"Together, we can keep Donaldsonville moving forward."
