Former Napoleonville resident publishes first book
Gail Fleming Brown, who is originally from New Orleans, moved to Napoleonville when she was twelve years old. She decided to write her first book about a place she loves.
The book, titled "Destiny" is a romance novel set in New Orleans. The main character, Tania, is a successful attorney who's been in a car accident and loses her twin sister. While Tania lay in a come for six months, her only niece has been adopted. Upon her recovery, Tania's main objective was to find her niece. Along the way she falls in love, but finds herself surrounded by unresolved relationships. Tania wonders if something is wrong with her because everyone around her seems to be getting married. She wonders if there is really a thing called "Destiny."
Brown always wanted to write romance novels. Her love of a good book has always been vast. She has been writing since she was very young, but has finally decided to publish her work, hoping it captures the hearts of her readers as it captures her imagination.

Recently, Brown was honored at a "Meet the Stars" program at Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship Church in Donaldsonville. She also made appearances at similar programs held at New Rising Sun Baptist Church and New St. Matthew Baptist Church, both located in Houma.
