7th annual Night at the BOO-seum announces changes to its annual event
THIBODAUX – The Bayou Country Children’s Museum has made changes to its annual Halloween fundraiser. The changes are aimed to decrease wait times inside the festival grounds, improve flow and create an even more enjoyable experience for the entire family The changes include an extra hour of play: now 5 pm – 9 pm; a special area just for toddlers; a separate area for those booths offering activities from those booth just doing trick-or-treat items. Also, Tiger Drive will be closed near the festival grounds for safety purposes. Night at the BOO-seum is a partnership with the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department aimed at providing a safe family-oriented event while educating the children about fire safety, since October is National Fire Prevention Month.
The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fairgrounds. Tickets are $6 in advance, available at the Museum, Lynn’s Little Feet or online: www.bccm.info through Oct. 23, and $8 at the gate of the Firemen’s Fairgrounds.
Families can expect a safe night of trick or treating, games, activities, demonstrations by Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and Thibodaux Police Department. There will also be toddler train rides, big kids mazes and lots more, all included in the admission ticket price! Burgers, jambalaya, hot dogs and kid-friendly beverages will be available for purchase.
