GONZALES – PCS Nitrogen, a subsidiary of Potash Corporation, wrapped up its donations to Ascension Public Schools with a $15,000 check presentation at Donaldsonville High School on Dec. 11.

The funds will be used for college preparation and activities to enhance educational success.

“Donaldsonville High School is grateful and feels truly blessed to be a recipient of the philanthropic circle of PCS Nitrogen,” said Principal Marvin Evans. “This financial donation will be used 100 percent to serve the needs of students.

As stated in our proposal, we will fund three initiatives: ACT test registration fees, a Freshman Academy out-of-state educational field trip and our Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) student celebrations.

We are committed to ensuring our students are exposed to the world, experience success in high school, earn a quality diploma, and transition to a post-secondary institution that will prepare them to become productive citizens in their communities and global society. Stakeholders such as PCS Nitrogen play an integral role in the fulfillment of our mission."
