  1. Attend a Anti-Valentines Day party: Teens can make their way to the Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville for an Anti-Valentines party on Feb. 12. There will be a series of Minute-to-Win-It like challenges to take your mind off of relationships, flowers, candy and everything sappy that comes with Valentines Day.   2. Attend an awards banquet: The Donaldsonville Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual awards banquet on Feb. 17. The Chamber will award recipients for Teenager of the Year, Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year. The ceremony will take place at Palazzo Bernardo, 2244 La. 3120, Donaldsonville. Tickets are $40 per person. Seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentations at 7 p.m. Business attire required. 
  3. Bring the kids to a party: The Ascension Parish Library is hosting a Piggy Party for children ages two to eight on Feb. 13. Children can listen to a reading of Happy Pig Day by Mo Willems and enjoy playing games based on favorite pig characters such as Olivia, Peppa and more.
