MYAC takes D.C. (part two)
The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) traveled to Washington D.C. March 4 to March 9 to serve as youth delegates representing the City of Donaldsonville at the National League of Cities Conference. On the trip, MYAC visited The White House, The Smithsonian Museum, took in a Washington Wizards game, met Laura Furr, Program Manager, Justice Reform and Youth Engagement – Institute for Youth, Education, and Families and caught up with Gonzales Councilman Harold Stewart. And Mayor Barney Arceneaux.
Attending the trip were Tamiko Stroud, President; Katilyn Williams, Vice President; Paige Joseph, Parlimentarian; Maerys Joseph, Secretary; Jalon Chatman, Sgt. at Arms; Lawrence Brown III, Director of Social Media; Nina Smith, Audit Director; Commissioners Whitney Baker, Kerrionne Brown and Darell Honora; Tamiko Garrison, MYAC Coordinator and chaperone and Lionel Franklin, chaperone.
