Montes de Oca-Reeves Engagement

Mayor and Mrs. Edwin M. Reeves Jr. of Plaquemine are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Corrine Rose Reeves, to Anthony Charles Montes de Oca, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fermin Montes de Oca IV of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The couple will marry in a Nuptial mass on May 5, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Matassa Jr., of Donaldsonville and the late Mrs. Bena Sotile Matassa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin M. Reeves Sr. She attended Louisiana State University where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, and then graduated from Louisiana State University Health and Sciences Center as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Her fiancé is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Locke Valluzzo, Mrs. Deanna Montes de Oca and the late Mr. Fermin Montes de Oca III. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, and received a Master of Science in Medicine from Mississippi College, pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant.

An engagement party was given in honor of the couple on Saturday, November 12,2016, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Francois Boulanger. Co-hosting with the Boulangers were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hebert, Ms. Mary K. Reeves, Mr. Michael Matassa and Mr. and Mrs. John LeBlanc.
