Reeves-Rodrigue Engagement

Mayor and Mrs. Edwin M. Reeves Junior of Plaquemine are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Edwin "Trey" Marvin Reeves III, to Heidi Lynn Rodrigue, the daughter of Mr. Douglas A. Rodrigue Sr. and Ms. Gale M. Rodrigue of Thibodaux.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary-Alice Benoit, and the late Mr. Aubrey J. Benoit, Mr. Wesley J. Morvant, and Mr. and Mrs. Septime J. Rodrigue Jr.

She is a graduate of Nicholls State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and is employed as a registered nurse in New Orleans.

Her fiance' is the grandson of Mr. Joseph Matassa Jr., of Donaldsonville, the late Mrs. Bena Sotile Matassa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin M. Reeves Sr.

He is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration, and is employed as a nursing facility administrator.

An engagement party was given last fall in honor of the couple at the Reeves residence. The couple plans to marry in the spring of 2017.
