55th Class of Debutantes presented to Society

On Saturday, Jan. 21, the Four Seasons Garden Club presented its 55th Class of Debutantes at A Night to Sparkle Cotillion held at Palazzo Bernardo’s in Donaldsonville.
The cotillion was a night to sparkle as 16 beautiful young ladies from Donaldsonville, Gonzales, Thibodaux, Lafayette, New Orleans and St. James were presented to society.
The pageantry of debutantes included the introduction of the debutantes and their escorts, curtsey, introduction of the court, the crowing of the queen, and the grand promenade around the ballroom. The crowd roared with applause as the debutantes and escorts performed their new-age waltz around the dance floor followed by the father-daughter new-age waltz.
The narrator for the cotillion was Wanda August of Donaldsonville and choreographer was Krystal Gomez, owner of 5678 Dance Studio in Donaldsonville.
"It was definitely a night the debutantes and their families will hold near and dear to their hearts for the rest of their lives," said Mary Jackson, President of the Four Season Garden Club.
