State Representative Ed Price was the guest speaker at last weeks Rotary Club meeting. Representative Price gave an update on the upcoming legislation session in regards to the proposed budget, education reforms and transportation concerns for Westbank citizens. The projective growth of the west bank area means plans for infrastructure for future development.

Leadership Meeting

The first quarter meeting of community leaders met on Monday, March 27 to discuss a plan of action for the items of concern addressed at the town meetings. Leaders were grouped and assigned areas of interest that included education, health care, recreation, transportation and business growth, just to name a few.


Students from Donaldsonville Primary School were invited to attend the LSU AG Day event held in Napoleonville on Friday, March 31. All local schools in Assumption Parish were also there.

The students were able to pet animals such as a horse, snake, alligator, turtle, chicken, rabbit, lamb and the favorite over all, they were able to milk a cow and play on the big tractors that were on exhibit.
