In the spirit of Christmas giving the National Association of University Women (NAUW) Bi-Parish Bayou Branch gave gifts to two families of five (a mother and four children) from Ascension and Assumption Parish totaling $150 for each family, in clothing and toys.

In addition, the NAUW provided ten senior citizens with large fruit baskets. All gifts were dispersed to recipients after the December 16 meeting.

The organization was also honored to induct four new members: Kera Adams, Jerisha Castine, Reshonda Dickerson and Brenetta Dorsey. The Bi-Parish Bayou Branch, NAUW’s President, Mrs. Mauwella Dorsey and Dr. Debra Yarbrough, South Central Sectional Director welcomed inductees and spoke about SERVICE and the duties of the NAUW Sisters.

The NAUW is an organization that stimulates women to attain professional excellence, exert influence in various movement for civic good, and promote a close, personal intellectual fellowship among professional women.
