Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Taylor Michael Tripode, 25, of 314 Vatican Drive, Donaldsonville, LA, on charges related to financial crimes.

On August 27, 2019, deputies responded to a reported theft at a Paincourtville residence. The complainant reported that an electronic device was stolen from him and he suspected Taylor Tripode had committed the offense.

During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Tripode's domicile on LA 308.

When that warrant was executed, the electronic device was recovered. It was then determined that Tripode accessed the device and transferred funds from an account owned by the victim to himself.

Based on all factors, warrants were issued for Tripode's arrest on December 9, 2019. Livonia Police arrested Tripode on January 5, 2020. He was transferred to Assumption Parish where he was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of Felony Theft and Bank Fraud.

Tripode was released on a $10,000 bond.
