1. Participate in a bass tournament: The third Annual Trinity Outdoor Bass Classic will be held on March 12 at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. Sponsored by Don’s Wholesale Automotive, the fishing tournament will feature the Booga Poche Cracklin, Pastalya and Jambalaya Cooking Competition from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Clyde Caraway Revelation Car and Truck Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nashville-based country singer JT Lewis will be the live entertainment for the day. 2. Attend a “Girls Day Out”: St. Elizabeth Hospital's annual Girls Day Out event will be held on March 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will feature energizing movement activities,  women's health seminars and multiple exhibits. 3. Learn about flood safety measures: The Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales is hosting a Flood Awareness program on March 16 at 6 p.m. Guest speakers will include Director of EA Drainage Department Bill Roux, Director of Planning and Zoning Richard Compton, Planning Intelligence Officer with Homeland Security Meredith Conger and Ascension Parish Floodplain Coordinator Marcia Shivers.
