  1. Take the kids to storytime: The Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville will host Toddler Storytime at 10 a.m. The program is designed for children through age two and their parents. Children will be introduced to letters, words and sounds through a variety of programs designed to foster early literary skills.
  2. Learn the Medicare Basics: On March 31 at 6 p.m., the Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville will host a seminar aimed towards educating residents about the basics of Medicare. Beryl Mitchell of the Capital Area Agency on Aging will be in attendance to answer questions about anything from sign-up to which plans best suit specific needs.   3. Attend a four-day paddling trip: On March 31 the annual Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program 2016 Paddle Bayou Lafourche event will take place. The 52-mile, four-day paddling trip down the bayou begins on March 31 in Donaldsonville and ends in Lockport on April 3. Paddlers can participate from one day to all four days of the trip.
