Three things to do

Make Mardi Gras mosaics: On April 21 at 4 p.m. the Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville will host a crafting event for children second grade and above. Participants will learn how to turn old beads into works of art by creating a framed beaded design.
Attend a rodeo: The 2016 Extreme Rodeo Invitational will be held at Lamar Dixon Expo Center on April 22 and April 23 at 7 p.m. There will be bulls, broncs, trailer loading and wild cow milking, among other things. There will also be a 5K and fun run, along with a a kid's fishing rodeo and kidz zone that includes rides, live music, pony rides and more. More information can be found at lamardixonexpocenter.com.
Take the family to Music in the Park: On April 24, the City of Gonzales will feature its free spring concert series. The fourth musicians of the four-part series will be jazz band George Bell and Friends. The event will be held at Jambalaya Park, 1015 E. Cornerview, Gonzales, from 2 p.m to 5 p.m.
