Mt. Triumph BC Senior Day

Mt. Triumph Baptist Church recently honored their senior citizens (62 years and older) by treating them to dinner at a local restaurant in Plaquemine. Everyone in attendance had a great time as they fellowshipped with each other and enjoyed a delicious meal.

Serving It Up

What else is there to do on a beautiful sunny day than to play a game of tennis? Enjoying a quick game before it gets too hot was the plan for Glenda Daigle, Sherry Delcambre, Becky Robichaudx and Rhonda LeBlanc. The ladies get together twice a week to play a few sets. They enjoy doing this to keep the body and mind in shape. Keep serving it up and swinging with style ladies.

Belle Rose Middle School 8th Grade Closing Ceremony

Transitioning from Panthers to Mustangs was the theme for the Belle Rose Middle School eighth grade closing ceremony. As they celebrated at their honors and award program on Monday, May 23, they said goodbye to the middle school environment and prepared themselves for the high school change-over. The students received academic and athletic awards for their hard work during their four years at the middle school.

Exploring Our Community

The second grade class of Ascension Catholic Primary did a walk around town, stopping along the way to visit with Mayor Leroy Sullivan at City Hall, and a visit with the Donaldsonville Fire Dept. Teachers Ms. Corrine Goshia and Ms. Becky Sotile endured the humidity and early morning heat as they escorted the kids on their adventure walk. Taking the walk was also a learning experience as they strolled along the avenue they were able to see close up some of the beautiful historic buildings of our town.
