According to Lester Jupiter, a prominent member of the church, Shekinah Glory has about 312 members, and hopes to expand. Shekinah started up in January 2005, and has grown larger since the day its doors opened for the first time.

"I want to thank the great people of Ascension and St. James Parish, and also members of Shekinah for their dedication to their church home," said Pastor Harbin Sr. "We plan to bring economic development to this area, plans are being made for a training center, coffee shop, and other businesses to develop money for the great parishes of Ascension and St. James."

"Although our new church is in St. James Parish, Ascension was our start, that's where we root from, we hold a strong presence here, so we will never leave out Ascension," Pastor Harbin Sr. said.
