ACHS hosts Casino Night

First Annual Casino Night held at Ascension Catholic on Saturday, April 25.

“All of these fundraisers are an effort to meet our budget goals for fundraising,” added Burns.

Danny and Launa Zeringue, along with Daniel and Sandy Mattingly chaired the entire event.

“Although this is the first time for this event, we hope that it will be a tradition in the making,” said Launa Zeringue.

The committee hired professional dealers from Poker Productions, LLC out of New Orleans.

“They are one of the few companies that are certified with the department of charitable gambling,” said Daniel Mattingly.

Visitors enjoyed black jack, craps, Texas hold’em, and poker. There was also a silent auction during the event.

Jambalaya and white beans were a big hit at Casino Night by Mark Landry, and drinks were on ice all night.

Ascension Catholic gym was decorated with all types of casino related items and music provided by Chuck Montero made one feel they were in a real casino.

“Casino night was a huge success and over $6,000 was raised through this event,” added Mattingly. “Thanks to all who helped and made this success possible.”

Residents enjoyed a few friendly table games at Casino night on Saturday.
