Berkley "B.J." "Frenchie" Arceneaux was called home at the age of 85 on Feb 22, 2010. He is a former resident of Thibodeaux and Donaldsonville. He was residing in Baton Rouge upon departure. Arceneaux is a native of Bayou Blue. B.J. was a WWII veteran serving in the army.

Visitation was held Thursday, February 25, at 9:30 a.m. at Bayou Blue Methodist Church in Houma. The United Veterans League Service was held at 12:15 p.m. The Religious ceremony proceeded visitation. Berkley Arceneaux was buried in Rogers Cemetery in Houma.

Berkley Arceneaux was survived by wife Virginia Lavigne Arceneaux; two daughters Elizabeth Arceneaux and Clinda Arceneaux Griffon; brothers Leslie Arceneaux, and Donald Arceneaux, and sister Gloria Clarke. He leaves behind five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Arceneaux was preceded in death by both his parents Eldon and Ann Matherne Arceneaux; daughter Ramona Arceneaux; and great grandson Mason Guillory.
