Post 98 installs officers

On last Tuesday evening, Babin-Haynes Post 98 installed its new officers for the year. Post 98 also honored Camilla Morris for 55 years of Service.

Officers of Post 98 are as followed: Commander, Charles Breaux Jr., First Vice Commander, Lawrence Landry, 2nd Vice Commander, George Probst, Adjuntant, Nolan LeBlanc Sr., Post Service Officer, Leroy Plaisance, Chaplain, Raymond Carbo, Sergeant at Arms, Virgil Joffrion, Historial Manuel Oubre, Sr., and Judge Advocate, Raphael Juneau.

Auxiliary Officers that were installed are: President, Mabel Ourso, 1st Vice President, Anna Lee Gautreau, 2nd Vice President, Emelda Jones, Secretary, Judy LeBlanc, Chaplain, Marie Landry, Treasurer, Dot Nettles, Historian, Rosemary Millien, and Sergeant at Arms, Virgie LeBlanc.

Father Phil Spano gave the Invocation and Councilman Rev. Charles Brown gave the benediction and the blessing of the food.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley was the guest speaker, and Clarence Brimmer Sr. was the Master of Ceremonies.

Camilla Morris was honored for 55 years of service during the installation of officers last Tuesday.
