Julia Breaux Jordan, 8th grade English Teacher at Donaldsonville High was awarded a certificate for the Teacher Advancement Program. Jordan is not new to winning things for her passionate teaching endeavors. She has been awarded teacher of the year three times, twice in Ascension Parish, and once in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Jordan says that her education teaching techniques are demonstrated and exemplified through her students.

“I teach from heart and soul,” she explains. I like to think I am planting seeds and cultivating minds where abundance of knowledge is continuing to grow.

“I try my best to close the achievement gap.” “Interceding for parents and grandparents who want their child to be life-long learners in the 21st century is my goal.?

As a result of the winning, Jordan earned top base compensation; the recipient was based on classroom observation, student scoring mastery on ELA Leap exam, Teacher Advancement Rubric, and Kagan structure teaching.

Jordan would like to thank all who helped contribute to the Teacher Advancement Program and “thank God for wisdom and knowledge to teach these kids.”
