Royal Arch Masons install officers

Ascension Chapter No. 49 Royal Arch Masons met on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Lodge Hall in Donaldsonville.  After a delicious dinner of squirrel and deer roast stew, rice, potato salad, French bread and carrot cake, the officers for the year 2011 were elected and installed.  The Installing Officer was Gene Dawson, District Deputy Grand High Priest of Royal Arch Masons of the State of Louisiana, also from Istrouma Chapter No. 92 in Baton Rouge.  The Installing Marshall was was Ken Streater, Secretary of Washington Chapter No. 57 in Baton Rouge. 

James Wilson was re-elected Secretary-Treasurer, but was unable to attend due to illness.

 The remaining officers who were elected and installed in their stations were: Mark Ishmael, Captain of the Host; Henry Jumonville, Principal Sojourner; William Cleveland, Royal Arch Captain; Mike Panepinto, Master of the Third Veil; John Landry, Master of the Second Veil; Jerry Poche, Master of the First Veil; and Mervin Simpson, Sentinel.

 Ascension Chapter No. 49 Royal Arch Masons was Chartered in February 1895, and looks forward to another 115 years of fellowship and service to mankind and the Donaldsonville community.
