Coldwell Banker Mackey decided to close its doors when founder Marge Mackey left the agency and went to C.J. Brown.

Coldwell Banker Mackey has a huge appearance in Ascension Parish, being the largest real estate agent in the area.

Local agents, Stevie Graugnard and Melissa Daigle have decided to join Realty Executives franchise based out of Prairieville. Gary Binns, Gary Fontenot and Ricky Gautreau formed the group, signing on about 40 agents from the Mackey group.

Realty Executives, which is based in Phoenix, Ariz., is about 40 years old, but has been franchising since the early 1980s, Binns said. It has 13,000 agents and 700 offices in 25 countries, though its largest presence in Louisiana is in Shreveport, where it has 200 agents.

“I decided to join this group because they understand the uniqueness of our market in this area,” said Graugnard.

Although Coldwell Banker Mackey has decided to close, its agents are still working hard to handle all of your real estate needs in this area.
