LOPA visits Ascension Catholic

Mike and Sheri Grenier together with their two children, Chloe and Levi, are traveling the United States to talk about organ donation.  Louisiana is the 40th state they have visited and on Thursday, February 10th they stopped by Ascension Catholic High School to talk to the student body.  Lori Steele, a LOPA representative also spoke to the student body about the various ways to register as an organ donors.  Don and Peggy Guillot, parents of Shawn Guillot, who was a student at Ascension Catholic when she was injured in an automobile accident and later died from her injuries also attended the presentation.   Shawn was an organ donor to five people and the Guillot's spoke to the student body about what a difficult decision it was for them and encouraged them to talk to their parents.
