Chamber Honors 2010 Success at Annual Awards Banquet

The Ascension Chamber of Commerce honored their 2010 Individual, Small Business and Large Business of the Year at its Annual Awards Banquet held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Clarion Inn & Conference Center.  Attendees began their evening by networking with fellow Chamber members during a social hour, followed by a steak dinner.

After dinner, the Chamber celebrated the dedication and commitment of their 2010 Award Nominees as Chairman of the Board Mike Waguespack and Chamber President/CEO Sherrie Despino introduced each nominee and spoke of their Chamber and Community involvement during the 2010 year.  The 2010 Individual of the Year nominees were Meghann Hebert of EATEL, Darlene Shingleur of Neighbors Federal Credit Union, Kelly Swarm of InfiniEDGE Software and Kamal Zaher of Kamal’s Kafe.  2010 Small Business of the Year nominees were Alaric Corp., GSA, Inc., Oak Lane Memorial Park, River Road Coffees and The Bug Man.  2010 Large Business of the Year nominees were Don’s Seafood Hut, Hampton Inn, InfiniEdge Software and Lofton Staffing & Security Services. 

The Chamber is proud to announce Meghann Hebertas the 2010 Individual of the Year, GSA, Inc. as the 2010 Small Business of the Year and InfiniEDGE Softwareas the 2010 Large Business of the Year.

The night closed with a raffle drawing for a Gourmet Food & Wine Basket won by George Bonfanti of Oak Lane Memorial Park.
