In several sentences explain why you chose your profession?

-After high school, I joined the Marine Corps. I enjoyed serving my country, and wanted to find a civilian job that was similar. So after serving my country, I came back home to service my community.

Who inspired you and why?

-My parents always pushed me to set goal and achieve them. They allowed me to make my own decisions, but also made me take responsibility for my actions.

What is typical workday like for you?

-I can't really say. That's what I like most about my profession. No two days are alike. You can be a foot pursuit one minute, and helping an elderly couple load groceries in their car the next.

What's something about your line of work that most people don't know?

-If I had to say, it would be that most people don't realize how many different roles you must take on when you become a Sheriffs Deputy. Sometimes the people in the community need someone to listen, to care, to give them advice, to get them medical treatment, or maybe even save their life. The one thing I realized is law enforcement officers are expected to aid the communities every need.

What is a memorable moment in your career and why?

-My most memorable moments are the ones that are usually the most dangerous. Some of the horrible or life threatening situations some officer may be exposed to are usually the ones they will remember throughout their career.
