First in Print: DISTRICT THREE TRASH BASH A SUCCESS

On last Saturday, volunteers, along with government officials, walked the streets of District three to help clean up the city.
“We would like for this to be an ongoing effort,” said Tammy Dale. “We are soliciting volunteers who would like to be responsible for streets to stay cleaned.”
From 8 a.m. to 12 noon, approximately 40 volunteers traveled up St. Patrick Street, St. Vincent St., Elizabeth St., Front St., Nolan St., and others streets that reside in District three, to pick up trash and take pride in the community.
As volunteers were out cleaning residents starting joining in to help in the effort of keeping Donaldsonville clean.
“This is what its all about,” said Councilman of District Three, Reginald Francis, “we want to take a sense of pride and clean up our town.”
The plan is to go into each district and clean it up over the next few months, and to keep it as a continued effort.
