Gaudin named National Educator Leader of the year

Staff reports

AMIkids, Inc. National Director of Educational Services Eric Hall surprised Audrey Gaudin, AMIkids Donaldsonville’s Director of Education, with the first ever AMIkids National Educational Leader of the Year (NELOYA) for Day Treatment during an awards ceremony in Tampa, Florida.  The NELOYA was created to highlight educational leaders who excelled in the following five areas:

1.     Distinguished School Leadership Behaviors

2.     Planning and Professional Discipline

3.     Academic Setting/Learning Environment

4.     Instructional Practices

5.     Professional Duties and Growth

In her five years of service to AMIkids Donaldsonville formerly Donaldsonville Louisiana Marine Institute, Ms. Gaudin has been a strong supporter of educational gains of youth offenders in Ascension, Assumption and St. James parishes.  Her leadership of the Education Department has really allowed us to “Separate a troubled past… From a bright future…” for the youth whose lives we touch daily.
