NAACP held Freedom Fund banquet

Jesse Bartley and Marion Mitchell were recently honored at the Ascension Parish Branch of the NAACP's Freedom Fund Banquet held in Donaldsonville. Mr. Bartley was applauded for his many years of service in the field of education and Mrs. Mitchell for her many years in the field of business. Linda Johnson, Representative of the 8th District Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, delivered the keynote address.
