WHAT IT IS: The Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters office is proud to be taking part in the National Voter Education Week and will be conducting annual voter education drives during the week of August 29, 2011 thru September 2, 2011.
Monday, August 29, the Harvest Super Market located at 12513 Hwy 73, Geismar, LA will be participating in the National Voter Education events from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
On Tuesday, August 30, the Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters representatives will be of service to the community at Ralph’s Supermarket, Pelican Point at 6431 Hwy 44 Gonzales, LA from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Wednesday, August 31, the annual Voter Registration drive will take place at Leblanc’s Payless at 40017 Hwy 42 in Prairieville from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
On Tuesday, the Donaldsonville ROV will be hosted by TB Chevron located at 21 W 10th St. from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Voters are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to register to vote, update their records by making changes such as, party affiliation, name changes, address changes, or transfer their voter registration to Ascension Parish.
Voter Registration Application forms are also available at the Department of Motor Vehicle, Ascension Parish libraries, Office of Family Support, Ascension Parish Health Unit, Louisiana Technical College – Ascension Campus, and the River Parish Community College.

The last day to register to vote or make any changes and be eligible to vote in the
October 22, 2011 election is September 21. Early voting for the October 22 election will begin on October 8 through October 15 from 8:30 a m until 6:00 p m. at the Registrar of Voters offices in Gonzales and Donaldsonville.
The registrar of voters offices are located at 828 S Irma Blvd Room 205 in Gonzales, LA and 300 Houmas Street Suite B in Donaldsonville, LA. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
