Lowery Park: a work in progress

Lowery Park, located in the entranceway of Lowery School, is in its first phase of completion and should be completely finished by the middle of next year.

“It has been a year long process, but things are looking good to be complete by the end of the next year,” said Parish Recreation Program Coordinator Ajia Morand.

The layout plan features two pavilions, picnic tables, and lots of open space for kids to play.

“I am excited this process is coming together,” said Parish Councilman Oliver Joseph.

“Oliver is the reason this project has been started, and I am glad to see it come together,” said Parish President Tommy Martinez.

The park will also have its own set of restrooms and an asphalt parking area.
