The Turner Industries Fund Donates to The Ascension Fund

The Turner Industries Fund expressed its commitment to quality education in Ascension Parish with a generous contribution to The Ascension Fund by investing charitable dollars into the community in which the company works.

The Turner Industries Fund makes grants for education, arts and humanities, community

development, environment, health care and human services.

Turner Industries is one of the largest employers in Ascension Parish and believes in supporting the community. It understands that providing quality education is a vital to the wellbeing of the Parish.

As the parish continues to grow, The Ascension Fund continues to support local schools and endeavors to help educators implement effective and dynamic projects and teaching techniques in the classroom. To accomplish this goal it awards $500, $1,000 and $2,500 grants to winning applicants.

Ascension Parish is the fastest growing parish in the State and has one of the top performing school systems in Louisiana. With such an exemplary record, Ascension Parish has become a draw for families looking to relocate from surrounding parishes as well as those moving to the area from out-of-state in order to work in industry here.

The Ascension Fund will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Oct 6 at 7 p.m. during the Gonzales Rotary’s Steak Dinner Night at Lamer Dixon Expo Trade Mart Building and will announce that it has awarded more than $1.2 million, representing nearly 1,000 grants, to the public schools and teachers in Ascension Parish.
