Lowery Class of 1969 donated $500 to the River Road African American Buy a Brick Build a Legacy Campaign.

The Class of 1969 felt they wanted to spend money towards an educational purpose and the museum was a great investment.

“We are grateful for Kathe and all that she does with the museum because it is so educational and puts effort for Donaldsonville, the state, and abroad,” said Barbara Williams.

The class decided to dedicate the bricks to past principals and deceased classmates.

“This serves as our thank you and giving back to the community which is important,” added Williams. “Maybe other classes will get involved and do something to help the museum and other educational purposes in our area.”
