Sheriff’s Office Christmas Crusade begins donation drive

Staff reports

The Ascension?Parish Sheriff’s Office has begun receiving donations for their Annual?Christmas Crusade program.

Each year, the department takes gifts in from residents, and ensures that they are distributed to needy children within Ascension?Parish. With so many of our area children going without, Christmas is the perfect time to make sure that they each recive a little something.

Be on the lookout for the white bins at area businesses.?They will have signage afixed saying “Ascension Parish?Sheriff’s Office Christmas Crusade for Children.” Simply drop in a gift, and the Sheriff’s Department willdo the rest.

The?Donaldsonville Chief and the Gonzales Weekly Citizen is a drop-off location, and anyone bringing in a newly bought gift, unwrapped, in its original packaging, will receive a $5 discount off of a six month or years subscription.

This offer is available for the remainder of November only.
