Debbie Peltier-Roques awarded 2011 Chamber of Commerce Director of the Year

1. What does being apart of the Chamber mean to you?
It is important for me as a business owner to be a part of such a strong and vital business organization. Throughout the years so many organizations have formed and dissolved while the Chamber has remained active for 70 plus years.
2.How long have you been a Chamber member?
I joined in 1990 when I opened my business.
3. Past positions held with the Chamber?
I have served as past President twice. I have chaired the Sunshine Festival for 10 years. I have chaired the Membership, Events, and Secretary Day committees and have served on the nominations committee, The Mayor's Pride Committee, Team City Committee, Teenager of the Year Committee and Public Relations committee. I am always available as a volunteer to assist at functions and I love to count money.
4. What do you like most about the Chamber?
Being in the Chamber brings a positive recognition to my business and me. When my customer sees me at the Sunshine Festival for the entire weekend, they know I am giving my free time helping to provide a better place to live and enjoy life. I think your business, your life, and your organizations are only as good as the attitude you bring to them. I see my Chamber work as fun, so that makes it easy.
