Annual Texas/Louisiana Bayou Bowl Game to Be Held June 16 at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown, TX

The Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA) announced today that the 2012 Bayou Bowl, an annual non-profit all-star high school football game between the top graduating seniors from Louisiana and the Greater Houston area, will be held Saturday, June 16 at 7 p.m. at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown, TX.

This year’s Bayou Bowl will field 40 players each from Louisiana and Texas. The game raises money for youth athletic scholarships and has grown to attract national attention. The Louisiana team is sponsored by the LHSCA and the Louisiana Football Coaches Association (LFCA).

Tickets to the 2012 Bayou Bowl are $10 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased in advance at or at the gate on game day. Louisiana residents may also log on to to watch the game from a live video stream.

Players and coaches for this year’s event will check in for game week activities on Tuesday, June 12. At 2:30 p.m. that day, teams and coaches will be available for photos and may meet the media at Stallworth Stadium. Complete rosters for each team may be found online at

In addition to daily practices, teams will participate in several activities throughout the week including a visit to Kemah Boardwark, an afternoon at Pirates Bay Waterpark, a Bayou Bowl banquet featuring presentations and awards as well as other events and luncheons.
