Assumption High Booster Club announces Mustang Alumni festival is rescheduled for weekend of August 10-12

ATTENTION GRADUATES OF ASSUMPTION HIGH SCHOOL!  The Assumption High School Booster Club is pleased to announce the THIRD ANNUAL MUSTANG ALUMNI FESTIVAL to be held in August.  Last year’s festival was a great success.  The festival will be held August10-12 at the beautiful Bayou L'Ourse Ball Park on Highway 662. This will be a great opportunity for AHS alumni and their families to get together with old friends. Our previous two years were very successful and the Alumni Softball Tournament proved to be a big hit! This year's festival promises to be a hit as well.

Among the events will be an ALUMNI SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT, HOMERUN DERBY, COOKOFF, and a SILENT AUCTION. There will also be music and lots of food and drinks.

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT - will be open to all Assumption High School Alumni.

NEW THIS YEAR -- CO-ED Teams for 70s and 80s-sign up to play or make a team. Each co-ed team must have at least 4 females on the team.

MALE ONLY teams and FEMALE ONLY teams in the 90s and 2000s bracket competing for bragging rights. Spouses of alumni may also participate with their spouse's graduation class.

Dust off that old glove and sign up individually or as a team.  The softball tournament will begin on Friday and end on Sunday evening. Come on out and be a part of your class team or cheer them on. A registration form and official rules can be accessed by visiting our website at Deadline to register is July 13, 2012.  Game times will be announced with the bracket.

HOMERUN DERBY -  the Homerun Derby will be held Friday evening.  The winner will receive a cash prize.  Registration for the Homerun Derby will be the Friday night.

COOK-OFF - will be held on Saturday, August 11th.  We are looking for local amateur chefs to compete in the Cook-Off.  If you have a signature dish that your friends and family rave over, consider competing in our Cook-Off.  The event will be judged, with winners announced on Saturday afternoon. Visit our website at  for Cook-Off Rules and Registration form. MEMORIAL DEDICATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS – If you would like to make a memorial dedication or become a sponsor of the festival, visit our website at  for the sponsorship document.  Sponsorships and Memorial Dedications are on the $500, $250 and $100 levels. 

DOOR PRIZE–Every alumnus entering the park will be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Assumption High School Athletic Program.
